Assigning Blame: Is it users of SEO software or is it Google?

I admit. Prior to hearing about SEO applications and site promotion field, I thought Google was great. I Used Google to look for everything from friends, to visuals, to articles to odd objects and naively trusted the findings. Then I heard about SEO tools and an emerging e-commerce centered on site promotion, and my attitudes changed. But even prior to that, after doing some philosophical reading, I got a hunch that search engines, Google to boot, know far from everything, and share with the web community a tiny portion of that.

My search experiences soon persuaded me that Flikr is a better image search source, that with the assistance of RSS I can get nice news stories without the need to rummage through Google search retrieval (rummaging is more fitting than Google search), and people search is better managed by Facebook. It seems like whenever I search for weird objects on Google, the results are almost always messy, to put it mildly. Try searching for SEO tools and other SEO relevant subjects on Google and you are almost prepared to surrender your patience. I mean, seriously, what’s the connection between SEO programs and employment sites or Web casinos? Gladly, in my frustrations.

So when news of free link building software and the whole industry built around it entered my humble worldview, my doubts about things popping up on page one of Google increased exponentially. Do they deserve to show up on there and whose fault is it, Google or webmasters using SEO software. The moral dilemma is huge. Do I quit using my SEO keyword ranking tool or do I stop using Google instead? I decided that I can’t boycott Google just yet. At least not until the worthy rival enters the game. For now I will keep juggling between Blekko, Google and the above methods to complement the SERP mess that Google is. And, oh,yes, I will keep using my SEO software.

Truth is that SEO apps is the reason why guys like me get found on the Internet. intelligent as they are, search engine web indexers are not likely to find some random guy and index his website highly. In this regard, I still am an unyielding admirer of SEO applications and organic search. If it was all about the paid search, the multinational businesses would squish me before I knew it. And there are 1000 organizations on the Fortune roll! But here is another thing that irks me and other backlink check users, I am sure. There are individuals who buy SEO apps and use them to sell shoeson casino sites and such. What we are given is litter that not only exists on the net but is also highly indexed by search engines.

What is the user reaction to this? They Google SEO application reviews and will instead find irrelevant content. They get disillusioned. So much for the “Internet justice”. Does this mean that SEO software and service field is bad? Not necessarily.

The abusers of SEO products need to stop brutalizing the Net but it’s like ordering hackers to stop hacking. The bad thing about it is that black hat SEOs are abusing the chance to be seen on the Internet that is available to the random dude like me. For now users just have to live with them. One can only wish that Google will put more emphasis on spotting the schemers unethically using SEO tools, and if Google doesn’t, the competitor Google will.
